Hi there. This page is a small collection of recent work which I’ve been tinkering with in my spare time. If you’d like to see some more video, please check out my Vimeo page here.
Here’s a few shots I completed from start to finish to show what we do over at Next Door Visual Effects.
BRANDING ARTWORK created recently for Mummafication.com. A brilliant new podcast and space for mums to discuss their journey into parenthood.
An Illustrator repeating pattern, this was designed to be used across various social media platforms.
A PERSONAL LEARNING PROJECT centred around Flip Fluids and Destruction in Blender. A clip showing the CG layout can be seen here.
- Flip Fluids for milk simulation
- Cell Fracture for bottle destruction
- Photogrammetry of my front fence with Meshroom
- Bottle modeled by Danilius (Blendswap)
- HDRI/background from HDRIHaven
Feet? Why not?
This is a little snippet rendered out while prepping a bunch of people for a CROWD SIMULATION. I enjoy watching them defy the laws of physics.
FIRE R&D. Figuring out a workflow with Embergen, Blender and Nuke…
PYRO SIMULATION TEST using GPU based EmberGen. It’s still in Beta, but looks very promising so far.
- 13Million voxels, upscaled to 110Million.
- VDB export took about 3 sec/frame
- Max render time in Cycles was 6mins/frame
- Added some grain and a BG colour, otherwise zero comp work.
DESTRUCTION of a previous PHOTOGRAMMETRY TEST. This first video was created to test Blender’s physics system. The second is a photoscan created earlier of a statue in Melbourne cemetery comprised of about 300 photo’s. These were captured RAW with a DSLR and processed with Meshroom. The 3D model was then lit and rendered in Blender.
A BLENDER to NUKE workflow test completed in spare time…
